Materials
Materials are fundamental to the artists’ & makers’ practice, it is developed and there exists a deep relationship. For Eva-Maria, she is drawn towards the material’s physical properties & colour transmutations that are learned-through-making.
Exploring pigments, glass & dyes sourced from earth, minerals & botanicals, Eva-Maria bridges hands-on empirical practice & the significance of materials purification – for her it is also the confluence of values, aesthetics, & ontological inquiries.
